Pet Restrictions, Beach Driving Closures in Effect March 15 through Labor Day — To protect threatened nesting shorebirds, pets are prohibited in the Otis Pike Wilderness and on federally-managed ocean beaches. West Nile Virus detected in Mosquito Samples at the William Floyd Estate — West Nile Virus has been detected at the William Floyd Estate from mosquito samples collected on July 25 and July 31, 2026.
