Relax at Bo Phut Beach's soft sands
Bo Phut Beach is a chill alternative to some of the busier beaches on Koh Samui. The soft sand and gentle waves make it perfect for sunbathing or a nice swim. In the evenings, the nearby Fisherman’s Village comes alive with its cute wooden houses and plenty of dining options. You should definitely try the grilled seafood at one of the local spots. Just keep in mind that during peak season, the beach can get pretty crowded, so it’s smart to arrive early.
Chill by the refreshing Namuang Waterfall
Namuang Waterfall is a great escape from the heat. This two-tiered waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect place for a swim. You can hike up to the second tier for a more private experience. Just be careful, as the path can be slippery, so wear the right shoes. There are also vendors nearby selling snacks and drinks, but they might be a bit pricier than what you’d find in town.
Catch a serene sunrise over the ocean
Watching the sunrise in Koh Samui is such a peaceful experience. Head to the east coast where the sun rises over the ocean, painting the sky in soft colors. Chaweng Beach is popular for this, but it can get busy. If you want something quieter, try the less-traveled beaches like Lamai. Bring a light jacket since mornings can be a bit cooler. This tranquil moment is a lovely way to kick off your day before exploring the island.
