How Kiomigo works
Routes, prices, photos, AI and your data - openly
Where your route comes from
Kiomigo drafts your route with AI - and then checks it. Every suggested attraction is verified against independent sources (Wikipedia, Wikidata and our own geographic database) before it may appear in a plan; suggestions that cannot be verified are removed for review, not published. Entry requirements and safety notes are curated by people, never guessed by AI.
Where prices come from
**Hotels:** nightly rates are requested live from booking sites and compared; we show the per-night price before local taxes and fees, and the booking site always shows the final amount. When we cannot obtain a live rate, we say "price on the booking site" instead of inventing a number.
**Flights and driving:** driving distances and times are calculated from map data. Flight prices, where shown, are indications - always confirm with the airline.
**Currencies:** converted prices are estimates; the booking partner charges in their own currency.
Booking and affiliate links
Kiomigo is a planner, not a travel agency: booking always happens on the partner site (for example a hotel booking platform). Some outbound links are affiliate links, which means Kiomigo may earn a commission - **the price you pay is never higher because of it.**
Photos
Destination photography comes in part from Wikimedia Commons and from the destinations' own image sources. Credits are shown with the images.
AI, honestly
We use AI where it is good: drafting routes, day plans and guide texts, and translating them. We use verification and human curation where AI is not good enough: facts, entry requirements, safety, and everything about money. If a guide text was AI-assisted, it was also machine-checked against sources before publication.
Your data
What we store and why is described in our [privacy policy](/p/privacy). Deleting your account really deletes your trips, posts and photos, after a short grace period in case you change your mind.
