历史
公元前一世纪，罗马人在这里建立了Norba Caesarina，Caceres这个名字就是从那儿来的。摩尔统治者修建了至今仍环绕上城的城墙和塔楼，如今很容易看出这里伊斯兰与基督教建筑交融的痕迹。
1229年基督徒收复失地之后，贵族家族盖起了石造宫殿和防御塔楼，老城区的样貌就是这么来的。埃斯特雷马杜拉的征服者们从美洲带回的财富，为这一切买了大部分单。1986年，这片城墙环绕的中心区被列入联合国教科文组织世界遗产名录。

老城的街道是陡峭的鹅卵石路：带双抓地的鞋，别带带轮子的东西。
夏天是真的热：把景点安排在早上或傍晚，中午歇一歇。
城市很紧凑：走路就能到处逛，不用坐公共交通。
很多酒吧和厨房下午会歇业，晚上很晚才重新开门供应晚餐。

穿结实的鞋子来应付这里的鹅卵石路。
至少尝一次Torta del Casar奶酪。
拍照就趁清早或日落时去老城。
夏天记得带水，城墙上没多少遮阴的地方。
别开车进老城，把车停在外面然后步行进去。
