Introduction
Casa Grande Ruins National Monument is a site that preserves the remnants of an ancient Hohokam farming community, including a notable Great House. Visitors come to learn about the history and culture of the Hohokam people, who thrived in this area during the early 13th century.
The monument covers about 3/4 of a square mile and is located just north of Coolidge, Arizona. It features multiple structures surrounded by a compound wall, offering a glimpse into the architectural practices of the Hohokam. The visitor center provides educational exhibits and orientation for those exploring the site.
