Introduction

Channel Islands National Park is a unique collection of five islands off the Southern California coast, covering 49,354 acres, with half of that underwater. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, featuring around 2,000 species of plants and animals, making it a prime spot for outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking.

Visitors often explore the rugged terrain and rich marine life, with opportunities for snorkeling and diving. The park also holds significant archaeological sites that reveal insights into the coastal migration patterns of early Americans, adding a historical layer to the natural beauty.
