Introduction

Timpanogos Cave National Monument features three interconnected caves: Hansen Cave, Middle Cave, and Timpanogos Cave. Discovered in 1887 by Martin Hansen, the caves offer a glimpse into unique geological formations and a chance to explore the underground world. Many visitors come for the guided tours that provide insights into the cave's history and ecology.

The hike to the cave entrance is a challenging 1.5 miles, gaining over 1,000 feet in elevation. While the views are rewarding, the trail is steep and not suitable for strollers or pets. Be prepared for temperature changes, as it can be hot on the trail but much cooler inside the caves.
