Introduction
Historic Jamestowne is the site of the first permanent English settlement in North America, established in 1607. Visitors come to explore the archaeological remains and learn about the early struggles and achievements of the settlers.
The site includes a museum, a reconstructed fort, and the original church tower. It serves as a reminder of the complex history of colonization and its impacts on Indigenous peoples.
