Climbing to the top gives you amazing views of the lake and the hills around it. The best time to go is at sunset when the pagoda lights up beautifully. Xixi Wetlands offer a different side of Hangzhou's natural beauty. This area is a maze of waterways, lush plants, and all kinds of wildlife. You can take a boat tour or stroll along the wooden paths to really soak in the scenery. The wetlands are way less crowded than West Lake, making it a nice peaceful getaway. Keep an eye out for local birds and unique plants. Don't forget to bring insect repellent, especially in the warmer months, because the mosquitoes can be pretty pesky.
